This past month we have lost four baby boomer celebrities. Teddy Pendergrass, who you might remembered sang for Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes and their great hit of the 70s era, “If You Don’t Know Me By Now;” Pernell Roberts known best for his role as Adam Cartwright on Bonanza passed away at the age of 80; Jean Simmons, actress known for great performances in “Guys and Dolls,” “Spartacus,” and “The Robe;” and last but not least author J.D. Salinger who wrote the classic “Catcher in the Rye.”
Soundtrack of the 60s , my other 60s site, is looking at the current month from the year of 1962. If you haven’t visited, please check it out. The highlight of the site continues to be DJ Neal Stevens playing the songs we listened to from the month of January 1962. Each month we feature a different year. Coming February 1st we look back to February 1964. What a Year!!!
Speaking of the Soundtrack of the 60s, time is running out for you to dedicate that special song of the 50s and 60s to somebody special in your life on the Valentine Dedication Broadcast.
